The Homestead Pitcher — Vintage Japanese Lusterware with Currier & Ives Spring Pastoral Scene
The kind of piece that makes a sideboard feel like it has a past.
A vintage Japanese lusterware pitcher dressed in a dreamy iridescent pearl glaze that shifts from cream to blush to gold in changing light. The pitcher features a hand-painted Currier & Ives spring pastoral farmhouse medallion framed in gold filigree — a bloom-soft homestead scene, the world just waking up. Gold floral and botanical motifs scatter across the body, the ruffled scalloped rim finished in warm hand-applied gold trim. Marked Japan on the base with the original Currier & Ives foil crown label intact.
